Searching your sources
Find the email, document or conversation you remember, and open it beside the list.
Search
- Open Search in the sidebar.
- Type what you remember into the box. Smart search finds things by meaning; switch to Keywords for exact words.
- Select a result to read it beside the list.
Narrow it down
Use the filters above the results — All apps, Type, From, From date and Through date — and Sort by relevance, newest or oldest.
Or type a filter straight into the box. It turns into a chip:
| Type | To find |
|---|---|
in:slack | only one app |
type:pdf | only one kind of file |
from:maya | only from one person |
after:7d, before:yesterday | only a date range |
is:starred | only what you starred |
"exact phrase" | those words together |
-word | leave a word out |
What you can do with a result
The open result has Ask about this, to ask a question about that document, and Discuss, to talk it over with colleagues who can read it.
People & topics lists the people and subjects your sources mention, and Knowledge map shows how they connect.
